Edmereoke: National Phenomenon Sweeps the Nation!

Edmer Avenue Stays Socially Close While Physically Distant!

Edmerians band together as one voice to greet the day with a song! Edmereoke becomes a national phenomenon!

In other news, Oak Park Residents wonder what happened to all the signs on the lawns of Edmer Ave. Trusted advisors of the Edmerian respond: "Oh, that was seriously funny, but alas, we live in weird times."
EDGA Gets Serious

The Edmerian Disk Golf Association is concerned with the rising athleticism and competition among the competitors. A resident is reported to have screamed across the street at competitors, "Hey, that plastic thing hit my window yesterday!" In response, the competitors have been known to hunch their shoulders in an extreme show of nonchalance, using one hand to throw the disk yet again at the neighbor's window, while using the other to shake the remains of a fermented beverage from a cylindrical aluminum object. An EDGA representative did not respond after repeated requests for comments.

Strange sightings of the mysterious device used in the DG contest have been reported up and down the street. Some have even sighted the device on LeMoyne Ave, a big no-no as this is clearly NOT a part of Edmerian territory. LeMoynians have been rumored to have eyed the device through drawn shades, and whispers of conspiracy have been heard up and down LeMoyne Ave.

A picture of the DG device, obtained at risk of life by underpaid journalists, was provided to the EADGA (Edmerians Against Disk Golf Association). Here is the first evidence ever published on the enigmatic DG device; you've seen it here first folks:

Secret plans, obtained through the dark arts of the Great Edmer, show where the EDGA plans to place the DG device thingy:

Edmerians are encouraged to either participate actively in the Disk Golf, or to continue to shake their heads in indignant disgust.

2019 EBC FALL FOOD DRIVE UNDERWAY

DROP OFF YOUR DONATION ANY TIME
STARTING NEXT MONDAY (SEPT 23)

The Edmer Betterment Crew...
is sponsoring its second annual Fall Food Drive.  Bettering our community by supporting our local food bank is right on strategy, and you being an EBC member means you play an essential role in the food drive success.

For 2019, our goal is to surpass last year’s take of 250 lbs in donations (we seriously impressed the Food Pantry…for real).  Let’s do this...275 lbs?  300 lbs?

It's actually pretty easy:
  1. Pack up a grocery bag or two (or box) with non-perishable, shelf-stable food items
  2. Drop off your grocery bags or box on our front porch (Sullivan, 1130 Edmer Ave); the porch is gated and open-air but covered (we will bring all contributions inside every night)
  3. Please drop off your contribution during the WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 23
  4. On Monday, September 30, we will deliver the contributions to the Oak Park Food Pantry
Just let us know if you have questions or need any additional information.

Thank you very much for your support of the Second Annual EBC FALL FOOD DRIVE...because better really is better.

Perfect Day For A Parade...

Yes.  It.  Was.

Roughly 25 Edmerians turned out to represent the EBC in our 3rd Oak Park 4th Of July Parade outing.  We think just about everyone along the parade route got some candy -- and note, the crowd was huge.

Got to pics to share?  Load 'em up here...(I've put a few to get started).

This a tradition that the kids will always remember...

Happy July 4th, everyone.

Cheers

Whew!  Knowing we are safe...we can all sleep better now

1100 PROGRESSIVE DINNER EVENT
(first annual?)

Ridiculously fun progressive dinner event last night.

Thank you, ZERRIN, for pulling together a fantastic evening.
The turnout was perfect (certainly missed those who couldn't make it) and we had a blast catching up with everyone.

SUZI and SREE
Thank for you hosting the first stop.
Your hospitality is impeccable, no surprise there, and the food spread was seriously delicious.

Back to ZERRIN
Thank you again for hosting the second stop.
I don't know how you could have possibly made it any better.

And to everyone who contributed to the evening with contributions, conversations and merriment -- exceptionally well done.

We are blessed and fortunate to be part of such an amazing community.
